For some reason whilst I am able to blog and reply on my own blog the system doesn’t seem to let me comment on anybody else’s blog. Has anybody else had this problem ? When I am in my blog it shows my name and picture but in your blogs it appears blank ? Any ideas.
This is a completely unrelated picture but shows how nice the weather was in the Lake District this weekend 😀 answers on the technology problem would be much appreciated as I am struggling to sort it out ?
I have the same problem on the IPad, tried to get it resolved with Blogger but that is a waste of time, nowt happens,I can't upload photos either, they did appear to sort that, but it only lasted for one post then it was back to no photos. No problems on the Kindle.
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but I have noticed that on my blog when certain people comment their icon seems to be broken--might be related.
ReplyDeleteThis is in reply to Phil and may also help you if you are using an iPad. On the iPad, the new iOS automatically activates 'Cross-Site Tracking'. When active your Blogger dashboard does not give you access to commenting on blogs.
ReplyDeleteTo turn it off, go into settings and scroll down to Safari and click it open. The right hand window will give you the Cross Site Tracking on / off option. If you change it, just turn the iPad off and when you bring it back on, you should get posting access.
But note, the significance of Cross-Post Tracking is that when active, it stops a third party from tracking your movement across all the places that you visit (Google it).
If i switch mine off, I put it back on again after making the comments that I want to make.
Norm you are a technical master in my view, anyone else having this problem Norm’s suggestion has worked immediately for me 😀 clearly there was no way I could possibly have sorted that out without help!
DeleteIndeed it does🙂 Norm I owe you a coffee at Phoenix.
DeleteMatt, not sure if it will be the issue or not, but try going to your blogger settings, user settings and check whether you have things set up to use your Blogger profile or your Google+ one. I'm not sure if when they de-linked google+ they might have broke something. I had to manually change to using a blogger profile as my google+ one was doing funny things on Blogger.
ReplyDeletePhoto looks like Big Sky Country!
ReplyDeleteMy Icon doesn;t appear on a few blogs and I haven;t a clue why, plus not be at all techy means I haven;t a clue how to fix it either !
ReplyDeleteSuggest trying Norm’s advice it worked for me 🙂
Deletei have same problem on my android tablet. no problem on laptops
ReplyDeleteTry Norm’s advice worked for me ...check settings in search engine
DeleteExcellent advice Norm, I can comment now on my iPad!
ReplyDeleteAnother fix which I have found works for me.... at the moment anyway...
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the Google App from the App Store and I sign into my blog through that...
It is still crap for writing posts... this will be because Apple and Google don’t want to get on with each other and sod the consumer... but I can comment with ease... at the moment... ;-).
All the best. Aly
Found it. Yeah
ReplyDeleteI have chrome as app..which works well for comments . As Norm days you can get round it on `safari , but that’s a pain ... so here is my comment from chrome
ReplyDeleteThankfully I haven't had any problems but I do all my blogging on my phone! Lovely photo, what a wonderful sky!
