5th ‘Northumberland’ Regiment of Foot

Have been fiddling with these for a while I got distracted by WWII Americans. They are done now πŸ™‚

5th Regiment of Foot

Pretty happy with the outcome, they are Warlord figures from their Peninsular starter army. Go together easily. Metal command stand, I would prefer the Regimental colour to be slightly more upright but that can’t really be changed. They are certainly not in parade ground uniforms. The flags are Victrix.

One down lots to go but I now know the task is achievable, at this ‘standard’ they didn’t take too long.

  1. Well done Matt...personally, I prefer Perry plastics but Warlord are ok too...I have about ten or twelve battalions of their Portuguese infantry.

    1. Thanks Keith cost was a factor at the start, I may explore other manufacturers in time when I need some variety. Portuguese are in the painting pile as well. Sounds like you have a significant force πŸ‘

  6. They look great and I think the regimental colour on a slight angle looks good, giving the whole regiment a more dynamic look as if they are advancing under fire.

    1. Thanks Lawrence, looking at the photo the angle isn’t too bad and you are right a more dynamic feel πŸ‘

  7. Splendid looking Napoleonic British, warlord go together fast, I've just done a load of Perry early war French which were a delight to build, they look so good! Happy to hear your doing ww2 GIs in Italy, tempted by that campaign myself, Indian army, Polish, partisans, Italian co belligerent force and I'm already pretty good for terrain!
