I didn't take enough photos again .......but I don't want the photos to detract when we are gaming. Here was the result😀 I am still struggling with the quality a bit.......but these didn't take so long to complete.
It was a fun game although the dice gods were definitely not with Ivar who rolled an incredible number of 1's and 2's. Athelgard the true defender of the Christian faith on the other hand had 10's to spare ! I haven't worked out the picture quality yet....sorry.
For a bit of variation we played with a priest on the Christian side with some limited powers these worked well and added a bit of fun. There is so much depth to explore, I would like to play with a few more figures and play some campaigns. The only challenge is the slightly random nature of the D10. Haven't noticed this too much in IHMN but it did feel a bit all or nothing. However it was our first outing and will definitely be given it another go.
Exellent AAR !
ReplyDeleteThanks M it is encouraging me to paint some more dark age figures.
DeleteGreat stuff! The comic pages look crisp and sharp...and the photos look fine to me. And, as always, you have a great-looking table!
ReplyDeleteWe had our first game of Blood Eagle today, too...lots of fun despite the fact that my son also had a poor time of it with the dice.
Thanks having had a look through the rule book there is massive opportunity for narrative games so we'll have some more in the future.😀
DeleteGreat report. Do like blood eagle. Comic strip is really good to
