Albanich 2017 : Operation Sealion

As a taster here are a couple of shots of the Battle for Lympne Map here set up which we will be running as a demo game at Albanich, Dumfries Wargames show on the 11th March. I still have quite a few details to sort so not quite finished yet but it is broadly done. Albanich is a small friendly show if you happen to be visiting come and say hi.

    1. Thanks kick off is at 10:00 , planning to start set up about 8:45 anytime after that is fine. I hadn't decided on the sides 😀

  2. Can't make it, I'm afraid. Newark on the 4th and Scruton on the 12th has my calendar filled, and I'll need all the recovery time I can get to be able to function properly.

    Anyway, I hope the day and game all goes well ... And don't let Martin talk you into collecting 10mm Danish versus Americans for an alternative 1860s Caribbean war over the Danish West Indies.

  7. Lovely looking table set up looks brilliant...top marks! This sort of thing really sells the game to those who attend!
    Seeing this reminds me from reading 'The Hardest Day' about the Battle of Britain some farmers fields had trenches dug in them to 'discourage' Jerry gliders landing...were any other sorts of anti aitborne defenses scattered on fields of Ol' Blighty in 1940?

    1. Thanks Captain.....I have seen several photos of a range of different options from spikes through to scrap vehicles. I am off to check them out and they may appear on the battlefield 😀
