Goats, Camels and Seamen : Border Reivers Show Loot

Had a really nice trip to Gateshead today, my only excuse being that it is my birthday next week, and we failed to get to the Partizan show earlier in the year due to me being ill. This means we haven't been to a show in a while. The other excuse is that most of what a bought was reduced. Of particular note and worth a mention is Mighty Lancer Games who were doing a 25% reduction of warlord stuff, talking to them their sale is running through september on their site so you might want to check it out as they offer free postage over £30 as well.
So the outcome of all these excuses is I bought too much.......

In no particular order, some goats for the desert, some pack camels from the flee market, ACW generals from Perry, Warlord Seamen (I had preordered these with a £10 voucher so we're only £5). A Stug, a Churchill, some SS, an Arab Lord and some heavy cavalry.........as nearly 50% of this pile is plastic I don't even think they really count for the lead mountain.....Do they ? .......πŸ˜€

  1. So you didn't buy the £125 Reaper Bones dragon from Mighty Lancer Games? It would have worked well against your Hobbits :)

    1. No looked impressive but not really tempted ! Think it might have just eaten all the hobbits in one go πŸ˜€

  3. A good haul at a good price, so worth the trip I'd think. But plastic, oh dear...

    1. Cheers ....yes us youngsters just don't care about the traditions...but at least plastic is lighter to carry about..πŸ˜€ There were some nice games at the show too but the lighting was really poor 😱

    2. I've endured the sodium light effect at shows myself, ruins the spectacle. As to tradition, it's not to be lightly dismissed. See what St Paul had to say about plastic...

    1. Yep enjoyed the shopping, the games and the company...I think the only criticism I would have is the lighting is pretty poor, so my game photos didn't come out ☹️

    1. I'm with you they are quite distinct and plastic doesn't count to any mountain. I now feel better this morning when I look at all the stuff I bought πŸ˜€
