Anyway here are a couple of photos of a very enjoyable game.
Vikings have landed by boat and formed up.
Saxon somewhat less organised
As expected much of the fighting took place in the centre, the Saxon levy managing to get a few rounds of shooting in before beating a retreatThe Viking warlord managed to get himself isolated and killed but we continued until the last Norse men decided to make a run for the boats😀
Nice, never played Saga. We should add it to our portfolio in the future

DeleteGreat table as always! I'm afraid I still haven't gotten around to giving SAGA a go despite actually having enough figs (I think).
ReplyDeleteEasy to learn hard to master....I have always enjoyed it.

DeleteGreat looking game, I like the pens, but all good. I bought saga and dux bellorum and lots of dark age types and I have to say I've failed in this area, lion rampant came along and it all went a bit late medieval, but looking at your game does tempt me!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Iain
Of course you can use LR with dark age figures. I have found the secret is keep painting and then you can use both rulesets which both have advantages, thanks for looking😀
DeleteWonderful looking table and minis, love the first picture with the Drakkar...
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil.......I only have one so no sea battles ...yet 😀
