Despite some challenges with my daughter’s health this week (she is fine now) I have managed some painting. First up after the Sicily battle last week I decided the Italians needed some extra heavy support !
Italian super heavy tank CV33
I managed to pick up both of these from eBay at a reasonable price the second is a flame Tank which will no doubt terrify the Americans ?
Ok I probably wasn’t fooling anybody the new armour are Italian CV33 tankettes and here they are compared to my German Tiger they may not be quite so scary but should at least be hard to hit ? And will provide some fun
Another ECW unit has rolled of the painting table
I also painted up these Commanded Foot effectively musketeers detached as a skirmish unit.
Well that’s it for now I will hopefully get some more painting done soon
Thanks for looking Matt ❤️
Great stuff. Wide range today.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe ….the butterfly is strong
DeleteA CV 33 be afraid! Neat work on the ECWs too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil 👍
DeleteIt honestly must have been embarrassing to be an Italian soldier in the mid war period...their armour looks like it belongs in the BoB theatre!
ReplyDeleteThe ECW troops are superb, once again!
Many thanks Keith yes I suspect they felt some trepidation when they sat in a tankette !
DeleteLovely work on the Italian tankettes, they look great, be interesting to see how the perform when they get their chance on the table! More super work on the ECW figures, really well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie, I’m looking forward to seeing the flame tankette in action ?
Delete“Managed some painting?” This is more than a week’s effort for most. More fab work, Matt! Those Italian tanks are tiny and your ECW regiment superb. Good to see that your daughter has recovered.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon, more ECW on the way
DeleteAh, those Italian 'super heavy' tankettes are always a favourite of mine:)! I always wondered why their tanks were so small, but having read Zaloga's book about them, they were restricted by the weight limits of italian bridges. Still always fun to use them, especially the ones 'upgraded' with a 20mm Solothurn AT rifle/gun.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work on those ECW figures too and at least I have managed to get some painting in for the first time in a long time!
I’m certainly looking forward to getting them on the battlefield it will mainly be for fun I suspect. Keep on painting 👍
DeleteNice job on the diddy little tankettes! The equally diddy chaps from the ECW are very well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks David 👍
DeleteVery nice, glad you daughter ok
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin she is back at home with no current ill effects
DeleteGreat work 👏
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal
DeleteGreat work Matt
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil 👍
DeleteI initially thought they may have just been an undersized kit, but those Italian tanks really are tiny and the Tiger puts them in perspective. The lates ECW regiment looks great too. Glad to hear your daughter is OK.
