Baranyay Hussars : Seven Years War

The start of another lockdown week here, so before I commute to the dining room to start work ! I’ll share these guys who were completed over the weekend. The Baranyay Hussars (Austrians). These are the last of the Old Glory Austrian Hussars I had to paint and the 10 mm stock pile is dangerously low. Some command figures, three Prussian Guns and a couple of squadrons of Austrian Cuirassier.

Baranyay Hussars

I have ordered some new storage boxes to house the growing 10 mm collection 👍 hope you all have a safe week.

  1. A fine addition, don't know how you do it with such small figures, have started some 20mm stuff and find it hard to get the motivation.

    1. Secret is just don’t worry too much about the detail and use bright colours if you can

    1. Cheers working my way through units, at this scale I think they can play as other units, but yes I am working towards Lobositz 🙂

  5. Your cavalry look great! Old Glory horses are distinctive and easy to spot.

    1. Thanks Jonathan some of the cavalry struggled to sit squarely on their mounts but they make a nice mix with the Pendraken figures.

  6. Very nice Matt...
I have some 10mm WW1 miniatures in a box in a drawer... I occasionally take them out shake my head and then put them back...😁

    All the best. Aly

    1. Thanks Aly.......ww1 in 10 mm might not be too hard to paint but will be hard to make distinctive ? At least SYW is pretty colourful !

  7. Great stuff Matt, what do you mean by dangerously low?
    20, 50, 100 minis :-)
I was a little worried by my own stock levels until I opened a draw and found another 6 blister packs I had hidden away....

    1. I think I am down to about 12 cavalry , three guns and crew and a small assortment of command officers! (I do only mean 10 mm stuff as I have masses of other stuff) anyway back to the 10 mm the problem has been solved by a major fresh order 😀 wargamers panic over
