Egyptian Mercenaries 500BC

I picked most of these up ages and ages ago to fight as a mercenary unit in my Persian army.

Nothing very fancy with them, they are Wargames Foundry figures and nice sculpts. They can play as light infantry or archers, most likely as one large unit. The only modification I made was to swop some with curved swords to spears.

Still planning to go to Partizan. So if anybody is going to the show and fancies a chat let me know πŸ˜€

    1. Thanks Keith ….it’s a good show but yes a long way for you to travel ! Although detained in the colonies sounds like something from the 18th century ?

  3. they look great. I've been thinking about Eqyptians and Hitites but in 10mm with loads of chariots, think that will look cool. In Partizan news, I'm currently bedridden with a trapped nerve in my shoulder. only 50/50 if I can make it. Will keep you posted and Dave is going

  4. Your Egyptians look terrific, Matt! Can a full-blown Egyptian army and Hittites be far off? Enjoy yourself at Partizan.

    1. Thanks and no Jon no plans for a wider Egyptian force or 28 mm chariot armies, it would of course be impressive but a huge project !

  8. I have always fancied a pair of chariot armies, but know that it is not likely to happen - perhaps Martin’s idea of plenty of chariots in 10mm is something to think about. Enjoy Partizan II, I won’t be able to make it this time around (boo-hoo).

    1. I’m with you Norm , love the idea of chariot armies but I’m unlikely to start that project anytime soon. 10mm would be an interesting idea, with big blocks of infantry and cavalry ? Worth considering
