It has been about a year since Flames of War was seen in the Dungeon and this was well before the blog started so this will be the first time. As I already gamed WW2 in 6mm when I started playing FoW I kept my collection very focussed around late war Americans...effectively Normandy onwards.
It was great to get them back out but not surprisingly as the FoW rules have some complexity it took us a little bit of time to get back into it. We played two simple scenarios with 1500pts each side. My Americans were excessively keen to get into the action whilst the Germans wanted to hold back but it was a great way to get back into the rules. More to come...............

Panzer IV's and Sherman 76mm contest the woods |

A second rifle Platoon breaks cover to force German Recon troops out of the woods |
Our second scenario again saw the Americans take the initiative whilst the Germans outgunned dug in hoping to hold on.
