Operation Sealion S-Day : The Movie

When I started the Operation Sealion campaign I had always planned for it to be fairly fluid and open ended. Less a campaign more and ongoing narrative to provide a background for collecting and gaming. Since the start we have had somewhere around 35 battles using a range of different rules and scenarios from large to very small.

I have been looking at a way to summarise the first day of the campaign for a while. Thanks to Norm’s recent innovative video I have spent the last few days messing about in iMovie. The results are now uploaded on to tube.

If you have a spare 10 minutes and you enjoy my Sealion Campaign you may well enjoy๐Ÿ‘I should ask you to like/share or some such but really this was for mine and your pleasure. If I manage to bring a smile to a few faces during lockdown then all to the better.

  1. Outstanding, Matt! You have so many wonderful toys.

As LittleWars TV just announced the creation of an awards program called the “Caesars,” your video should be nominated as a top contender. I will submit my choice and encourage others to do likewise.

When you win for best production in Wargaming Documentary, try not to forget the people that helped you to reach such cinematic heights.

    1. Thanks Jonathan....may be a little premature to write my acceptance speech but you kind words might encourage another production in the future ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks Norm....you started it ! Like a lot of tech it is getting the hang of the software, after several hours i got quite quick, a second production would be much easier. If I am honest it was really quite fun and a real sense of creativity so I will be doing more if I can find the time. Thank you ๐Ÿ‘

  4. Great work but apropos Jonathans comment - please DO try to forget everyone who helped you on your way - or, like Spike Milligan said when accepting a lifetime BAFTA Award...." I am not going to thank anyone, because I did it all myself!"

    1. Thank you perhaps as I said above a little early for acceptance speech but if I provided some light relief in these difficult times then I have achieved something positive ๐Ÿ‘

    1. Thanks Dean , you’ve made me realise I didn’t credit the music to Mr Mozart. Thank you for subscribing it may be some time before I do another video, although I think I have the technique better now.

  6. Wow, that is superbly done Matt! I wouldn't know where to start. You certainly have fantastic figures and terrain with which to fight your campaign. Keep up the good work:)

    1. Thanks Steve, if you have followed for a while all the photos are from ‘real’ battles played and blogged as part of the campaign. It was quite fun to do something different and creative so I will do another one sometime when I have a suitable idea and or enthusiasm

  9. That was absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed immensely remembering the games I fought, how many shots does it take to miss Churchill. Brilliant film
