I have been thinking of a new adventure series to play some more Dark age games and get a bit more into Blood Eagle. Effectively what I needed was a framework to allow lots of smaller skirmish games to develop, this would encourage me to paint a few more of the dark age figures I have waiting and get me into Blood Eagle. What better then than a Norse invasion of our very own Cumbria. The Saga begins.............

The Village forms part of the marshlands controlled by a series of Eorls and local Thegns. One amongst these is Boerwald of the Marsh.
